Transforming Library Spaces: A Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our library space transformation initiatives and champion workplace health and safety culture.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for planning, conceptualizing, and implementing library space transformation projects to meet evolving user needs. They will also oversee all library and office spaces to ensure cleanliness, facilities are in working order, and develop SOPs for effective maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills, knowledge of space planning and design principles, and good time management skills with the ability to prioritize work well.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and conceptualize library space transformation projects to address evolving user needs.
- Oversight of all library and office spaces to ensure cleanliness and that facilities are in working order.
- Developing SOPs for effective maintenance of facilities.
- Leading compliance efforts by chairing the Library's Health and Safety Committee.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in Information Studies or MLIS.
- 5 years of experience in academic, research, or special libraries.
- Familiarity with principles of space planning and design.
- Good knowledge of safety regulations and standards relevant to public spaces and workspaces.
