Job Title: Steel Structural Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Steel Structural Supervisor to oversee the fabrication and construction of steel structures. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with experience in supervising fabrication and construction teams. They will be able to effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with superintendents and structure engineers to understand project schedules and requirements
  • Supervise and coordinate fabrication and construction activities to ensure smooth project progress
  • Prepare and submit project progress reports to stakeholders
  • Review technical drawings and advise on any discrepancies or issues
  • Perform material takeoff (MTO) and update records to ensure accurate material procurement and usage
  • Ensure effective deployment of manpower to deliver products on time
  • Follow up on all fabrication and installation job fit-up, welding, and inspection
  • Understand and ensure compliance with project requirements and scope of work
  • Manage subcontractor performance in line with provided schedules
  • Resolve technical problems or issues faced at the work site
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marine shipyard operations involving structure fabrication supervision works
  • Experience in managing a workforce of subcontractors/workers in structure fabrication and installation
  • Ability to start work immediately or at short notice
