The Discovery Logistics and Trade Specialist Team functions as part of the Global Clinical Supply organization, supporting research laboratories. The team specializes in assisting researchers with their international and domestic shipping needs.

The role will assist in providing logistics and trade support to project and operational teams within client research and development organizations. This involves interfacing with R&D teams, vendors/collaborators, Global Trade Compliance, Logistics Operations, and other departments to coordinate, manage and track clinical supplies shipments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and tracking research shipments from client program teams to internal and external partner sites
  • Liaising with teams to gather and process supporting documentation for shipping materials domestically and internationally
  • Managing greenlight processes and Broker Clearance Instructions for imports
  • Creating invoices and shipping documents and engaging carriers for shipping packages
  • Maintaining shipment logs for imports, exports, and domestic shipments
  • Responsible for trade aspects by liaising with Global Trade Compliance and Logistics Operations
  • Providing logistical and trade guidance and expertise to the scientific community

Perform all import and export transactions in compliance with global, country rules & regulations as applies to all processes, sites, and resources.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • BSC in biological science or science-related concentration or at least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Logistics and/or Trade Compliance experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including English
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Computer systems experience (e.g., MS Outlook, carrier systems, ERP)
