Job Title: Data Protection Strategist

We are seeking an experienced Manager to drive continuous data protection improvements and promote a positive data culture.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead ad-hoc projects, conduct reviews to ensure privacy and data protection compliance, and investigate data incidents.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing Global Policies: Developing local guidance in data protection and privacy, ensuring consistency across the organization.
  • Compliance Management: Conducting reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Incident Response: Investigating data incidents, providing advice and remedial actions to minimize risk.
  • Technology Risk Assessment: Reviewing data protection controls in technology risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Legal Support: Assisting with legal processes around privacy and data protection issues, providing expert advice.
  • Training and Development: Developing training material and delivering training on data protection and privacy best practices.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience: At least 5+ years of experience in a risk-related role, with a strong focus on data privacy and protection.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and accuracy, strong project management skills, and ability to guide junior team members.
  • Personal Qualities: High level of resilience, positive work attitude, willingness to learn, and deliver timely results.
