Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory at Singapore General Hospital.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine or complex laboratory investigations on biological specimens using specialized equipment, adhering to established policies and quality assurance practices.
  • Ensure accurate and high-quality laboratory test results are reported and communicated in a timely manner.
  • Apply scientific knowledge and technical skills to troubleshoot laboratory test procedures, analyzer maintenance, and workflow issues.
  • Participate in the development of new laboratory tests and implementation of state-of-the-art technologies.
  • Provide training to laboratory personnel on laboratory test procedures and lead team members in specified laboratory functions.
  • Contribute to data analytics and quality assurance management to enhance laboratory efficiency.
Requirements
  • Minimum degree in Biomedical Science, Life Sciences or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in Clinical Laboratories.
  • Significant years of relevant work experience may be considered for senior positions.
  • Experience in specialized Chemistry laboratory testing, quality assurance, laboratory audit and accreditation, point-of-care testing operations and governance, or data analytics is an advantage.
  • Possesses positive work attitude, responsibility, and ability to work efficiently, independently, and as part of a team or leadership role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and rotating shifts.
