APAC Furniture Solutions Leadership Opportunity

This leadership role offers a unique chance to drive business growth and improve profitability in the APAC region.

  • JLL is seeking an experienced leader to develop, implement, and manage the furniture strategy across the APAC region.

The successful candidate will report into the global furniture lead and work closely with global and regional stakeholders to deliver strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive APAC furniture strategy aligned with overall business goals.
  • Define key priorities and translate them into actionable plans for the furniture business.
  • Drive expansion of furniture solutions, identifying new markets and growth opportunities across APAC.
  • Manage the APAC "shadow" profit and loss for furniture, focusing on revenue growth and profitability improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for business expansion, new partnerships, and market penetration.
  • Collaborate with commercial and finance teams to optimize pricing strategies and improve margins with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Drive innovation in furniture solutions, including sustainability initiatives and workplace technology integration.
  • Develop strategies to capitalize on emerging trends in workplace design and flexible office solutions.
  • Oversee an APAC account management strategy for major furniture clients.
  • Lead initiatives to integrate furniture solutions with other service lines, creating cross-selling opportunities.

Operations:

  • Implement and manage performance metrics for the furniture business, aligning with global measurements.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sustainability, and quality standards across furniture operations.
  • Collaborate with regional leaders to drive adoption of best practices and operational efficiencies.
  • Implement customer feedback mechanisms to continuously improve furniture offerings and services.
  • Report on business performance to senior leadership and participate in relevant boards.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and excellence in furniture solutions.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in the APAC furniture industry, preferably within corporate or commercial environments.
  • Strong background in profit and loss management, business strategy, and operations.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and improving profitability.
  • Experience leading teams in a matrix environment, demonstrating ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with focus on vendor management and strategic partnerships.
  • Able to translate market trends into actionable business strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making and financial modeling.
  • Proficient in business intelligence platforms and financial management tools.
  • Experience implementing and managing quality control systems in a global supply chain context.
  • Understanding of sustainability practices and their application in the furniture industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex business concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Able to drive business transformation and lead teams through periods of significant change.
  • Strong financial acumen with ability to optimize costs and improve profitability.
  • Collaborative leadership style with experience fostering cross-functional and cross-regional partnerships.
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on business management.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in the furniture industry, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Understanding of workplace design trends and their impact on furniture solutions.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, global environment with constantly evolving priorities.
