Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Regional Solutions Director, Environmental (RSD).

The RSD is a key leadership position within our Global Solutions & Technology (S&T) framework, collectively driving our five S&T Mission Elements. The RSD is responsible for the strategy and growth of one of our regional solutions areas, ensuring our talented technical professionals are globally and regionally connected, engaged, and inspired to solve our clients' most significant and challenging problems. You will create an inclusive and dynamic culture within your solution area, particularly among your Technical Director (TD) team, which creates space for innovation and encourages and inspires teams to challenge the accepted and uses the power of diverse thinking to bring bold solutions to our clients. Your solutions area will be regionally recognised, known for insightful and valuable thought leadership and conference/industry participation.

Key KPIs:

  • Identifies and helps nurture top talent in the potential Technical Director cohort.
  • Influence the recruitment and retention of top talent through sponsorship and mentoring activities, and drive a culture of technical succession.
  • Facilitate global collaboration across solution areas to bring the best of Jacobs to bear on our Focus 20/100 client opportunities.
  • Ensure collaboration and engagement with relevant Technical Directors and hold them accountable for engaging with their Technical Community.
  • Technically differentiate Jacobs by anticipating future trends & opportunities for our clients and through globally informed, innovative solutions that deliver sustainable, profitable, and inclusive outcomes.
  • Produce and share insights into the grand challenges of tomorrow and excite our staff to find bold solutions.
  • Help identify and realise APAC-level opportunities and drive a culture of strong, proactive engagement with Sales Teams.
  • Works with the relevant Operations Management team to drive the financial success of that technical community.
  • Develop and provide oversight of business cases and investment opportunities in the solutions area to align with our changing client needs.
  • Assure project outcomes by holding Technical Directors to account for the management of technical opportunities and risks across their portfolio of projects.
  • Meeting personal billability target.

To be a successful candidate, you must possess:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering. A master's Degree will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience working in a professional consultancy business, dealing with multiple stakeholders and clients, delivering excellent solutions.
