The Material Handling Lead is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient movement of materials within our operations. This senior role requires excellent technical skills, leadership abilities, and a focus on quality.
The job holder will lead material handling activities, ensuring all assigned work is completed on time and to the intended quality. They will interface with other organizational units as required and maintain a positive and safe working environment.
The role involves providing technical expertise, participating in model reviews, and interacting closely with safety engineers. The job holder must have a minimum 15 years of experience in an engineering setup for upstream oil & gas projects, serving in a lead material handling engineer capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough studies for components requiring material handling
- Provide solutions for handling items such as compressors, GTGs, WHRU, pumps, heat exchangers, critical valves, and piping inline instruments and special items
- Familiarity with all types of cranes and its restrictions
- Evaluate material handling routes
- Incorporate reserve volumes in the 3D model
- Identify specific material handling requirements within and outside the supplier package limits
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Excellent technical communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with using Navisworks
