The role of Senior Market Policy Analyst involves assessing and analyzing IMDA's regulated markets, reviewing related policies and regulatory frameworks, and developing sound policy recommendations. This position is in support of IMDA's vision to empower the info-communications sector that drives the economy, bonds communities, and powers a Smart Nation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Undertake robust and deep analysis of the telecom, media, and post markets, including financial analysis of operators to evaluate their health.
  • Gather insights from internal and external stakeholders to develop sound policy recommendations.

Strategic Reviews

  • Conduct market assessments for local and international segments, analyze policy issues (including mergers and acquisitions), and produce well-researched reports.
  • Consider market trends to formulate effective policies and regulatory frameworks.

Mobile Market and Spectrum Policy

  • Analyze market trends such as 5G and 6G, and assess the development of Singapore's mobile market.
  • Evaluate spectrum resources from policy and technical perspectives.

Legislation and Frameworks

  • Review and implement frameworks aligned with policy objectives.

Requirements

  • A background in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Stay updated on developments in telecom, media, post/parcel sectors, digital economy, and relevant legal and regulatory environments locally and internationally.
  • Strong policy analysis skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation skills.
  • Resourceful, motivated, proactive, with analytical and creative thinking.
  • Result-oriented, stakeholder-focused, capable of multitasking.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
