Executive Culinary Director

 

As a seasoned culinary leader, you will be responsible for creating and executing a creative fusion menu that harmonizes Western and Japanese flavors, techniques, and presentation.

 

The ideal candidate has a strong vision for innovative cuisine and is able to develop and maintain high-quality menu offerings.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Culinary Leadership:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive menu strategy that incorporates the principles of fusion cuisine.
  • Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in mid to high-end restaurants with a proven track record of success in creative menu development and culinary leadership.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Japanese ingredients and Western culinary techniques.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and inspire a team.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Chef in a fine-dining or upscale fusion restaurant.
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols and inventory management.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP principles.

 

Additional Skills:
  • Menu Development: Ability to create and maintain high-quality menu offerings that meet customer demands.
  • Inventory Management: Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Quality Control: Ability to maintain high-quality standards in all aspects of food preparation and presentation.
