Early Childhood Educator Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to join our childcare team as an Early Childhood Educator. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of young children in their care.

This role requires strong communication skills, both verbally and written, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and implementing programs for young children, engaging them in activities that enhance their learning experience, and observing, assessing, and documenting their performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of young children in your care
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate programs that promote learning and development
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: WSQ Professional Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education (PDECCE(CC)) or equivalent qualification
  • Certifications: Various certifications such as L1 / L2 / EY1 / EY2 / ACEY / CPT / HCIC / CIT / FECCE / DPL
