Operations Manager Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Professional to oversee the management of our tanker fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing daily operations, coordinating with charterers and internal teams, and ensuring adherence to charter party terms.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Manage the daily operations of multiple tankers, including coordination with charterers, brokers, agents, and vessels on voyage instructions and itineraries.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including charterers, brokers, agents, and vessels, to ensure smooth operation and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Documentation: Oversee the preparation and processing of relevant shipping documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Tank Cleaning and Stowage: Review vessel stowage and tank cleaning plans in consultation with the Head of Operations.
  • Cargo Operations: Coordinate with masters, owners, and agents to provide instructions for cargo loading, discharging, and stowage.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless operation and efficient use of resources.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree or Diploma qualification in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of tanker operations experience is highly desirable.
  • Skill Set: Strong organizational skills, independent work ethic, and ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Personal Qualities: Resilient, adaptable, and capable of working under pressure.
  • Team Player: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners.
