Mathematical Modeller and Health Economist

This is a full-time position where you will work on mathematical and economic modelling of infectious diseases and pandemic preparedness.

The role provides an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge global health research, collaborate with world-leading experts, and develop an independent research portfolio in infectious disease epidemiology and health economics.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead high-quality research on infectious disease modelling and health economic evaluations.
  • Design, develop, and extend mathematical, epidemiological, and economic models for evaluating infectious disease interventions.
  • Develop and execute independent research projects aligned with the School's strategic priorities.
  • Contribute to drafting and leading research grant applications.
  • Produce high-impact peer-reviewed publications.
  • Collaborate with international teams of modellers, economists, and public health experts.
  • Supervise and mentor junior researchers and PhD students.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in infectious disease modelling and/or health economic evaluation.
  • Proficiency in programming and modelling tools.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
