About the Team
We are seeking innovative thinkers to join our Monetization Strategy and Operations (MSO) team. This is a unique opportunity to influence monetization strategies across Southeast Asia. In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional leaders to evaluate performance and strategize for future growth.

The MSO organization delivers essential business insights through analytics, ensures alignment of goals across functions, and assists teams in advancing strategic partnerships and new initiatives.

Our focus is on aligning top-level company objectives with effective daily operations, while also nurturing early-stage concepts into initiatives that drive future growth.

Our team leverages data analysis to steer the company's monetization strategies and operations. We are looking for a Strategy & Operations Associate to lead analytical initiatives that promote operational excellence within our APAC business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate monetization strategies for TikTok and other emerging products in Southeast Asian markets by working closely with key stakeholders, primarily in commercial functions.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses using internal data and external sources to enhance business understanding of key value drivers and identify growth avenues.
- Act as a business advisor and collaborate with TikTok leadership to implement high-impact projects that drive significant revenue growth through the development and execution of key initiatives, including operating model enhancements.
- Establish and oversee performance objectives for the monetization team by defining critical performance metrics and setting KPIs to foster business growth.
- Monitor and assess financial performance, ensuring the fiscal health of business operations.
- Manage performance analysis, reporting, and business review processes.
- Develop and refine monetization processes and policies as the team expands.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including monetization teams, sales, international strategy, and data teams, to bring analytical initiatives to fruition.
- Lead key initiatives on a project basis, working in tandem with cross-functional teams across Southeast Asia and other international markets.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, data science, business analytics/management, engineering, computer science, or another quantitative field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales strategy, growth strategy, sales finance, product strategy, consulting, investment banking, or related analytical roles. Experience in high-growth tech startups, consulting, investment banking, venture capital, and private equity is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with extensive experience in Excel modeling and a keen interest in strategy.
  • Proven project management abilities: adept at managing multiple processes simultaneously across various topics, functions, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills, with the capability to navigate ambiguity and structure complex issues to derive insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Self-starter attitude: ability to initiate and drive complex analyses to completion with minimal guidance, while effectively synthesizing and communicating insights.
  • Familiarity with SQL programming and statistical modeling (preferred but not required).
  • Experience with BI visualization tools such as Tableau and Looker (preferred but not required).
