Job Title:
Unix Engineer - RHEL Specialist

About the Role:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing RHEL environments, OpenShift clusters, JBoss application servers, and Red Hat Satellite infrastructure. This includes designing, implementing, and supporting container platforms, administering and troubleshooting application servers, utilizing system provisioning and patching tools, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and performing maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain RHEL systems across development, testing, and production environments
• Design, implement, and support OpenShift container platforms
• Administer and troubleshoot JBoss application servers
• Utilize Red Hat Satellite for system provisioning, patching, and configuration management
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance tasks

Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, and 5+ years of experience in Unix/Linux administration, with a focus on RHEL. Strong knowledge of OpenShift container platform administration, experience with JBoss application server management, proficiency in using Red Hat Satellite for system management, and advanced knowledge of RHEL system administration and troubleshooting are required. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and at least one programming language (e.g., Python), strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, and experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
