As a design engineer, you will lead the development of solar PV and renewable energy systems. Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations to ensure high performance and efficiency.

You will provide mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Business Development by producing technical proposals and estimated project capacities
  • Produce design drawings using AutoCAD software
  • Develop design specifications and functional requirements for projects
  • Complete system designs for PV projects including site plans and mechanical racking plans
  • Analyse factors affecting performance of PV systems
  • Perform software simulations of solar photovoltaic (PV) system performance & energy production
  • Provide engineering support during installation
  • Assist in reviews and approval of engineering drawing submissions from contractors
  • Ensure compliance with specifications and requirements

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Electrical engineering discipline
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in Solar PV system design/engineering
  • Motivated individual with excellence in their work
  • Basic understanding of business acumen, can-do attitude, problem solver
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and advanced Excel capability
  • Familiar with engineering software such as PVSyst, AutoCAD, Sketchup, SolarGIS, Helioscope
