Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned technical professional to join our team as a senior systems analyst. In this role, you will serve as a technical point of contact for users of applications managed by the Geospatial Services Unit.

  • You will drive system enhancements through application configuration changes and development, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Your key responsibilities will include delivering high-quality training, demonstrations, and technical support to users, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems, applying analytical skills to drive effective solutions.

In addition, you will contribute to the migration of the Gas network into Esri Utility Network for SP PowerGrid's Gas & Electricity Mapping System (GEMS), providing expert advice on data management and workflow optimization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in development using C#, .Net, JavaScript, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation using Python and Arcade.
  • Ability to develop solutions to business requirements/problems and evaluate vendor-provided solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Experience engaging cross-functional business, IT stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Strong willingness to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to new challenges.
  • Proficiency in ESRI software and experience in Utility Network is a plus.
