Child and Youth Social Services

Shine Children and Youth Services is committed to providing high-quality social work services to our clients. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Child and Youth Social Worker to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a degree in Social Work or a related field and proven experience in casework and counselling, preferably in a youth-focused setting.

Casework & Counselling

Provide high-quality casework and counselling services to our clients, utilizing relevant theories and practices to engage, assess, and provide intervention to support client well-being.

  • Develop and implement individualized plans to meet client needs
  • Conduct outreach and engage family members, where applicable, to develop action plans
Group Work

Prepare and plan groupwork sessions/intervention to promote positive change and empowerment.

  • Implement groupwork intervention effectively
  • Evaluate groupwork processes and outcomes
Programme Development and Implementation

Design and deliver sound social work intervention programmes with clear logic models/theories of change.

  • Deliver programme and conduct outcome-based monitoring
System Linkage, Analysis, and Engagement

Represent clients' needs to formulate assessment and empower clients to access needed resources.

  • Facilitate systemic-level intervention
Stakeholder Partnerships/Volunteer Engagement and Development

Recruit, engage, and develop volunteers to support programme activities.

  • Maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders
Evaluation & Research

Support evaluation/research activities and gather information for evaluation purposes.

  • Identify trends
Documentation and Report Writing

Ensure proper filing and documentation of case/programme files and reports.

  • Document and maintain case/programme files
Administrative and Other Duties

Perform administrative duties and other tasks as assigned by management.
