Regional Transport Operations Specialist

• As a key member of the Inter-Regional Transport Excellence (IRTE) operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring flawless operational execution of inter-region transport lanes. This includes day-to-day operational issue management, transportation/logistics coordination, and project management with freight forwarders, shipping sites, and supply planning.">
• You will manage door-door operational management for Johnson & Johnson inter-region transport lanes, covering air, road, and ocean, to ensure consistent product availability and highest levels of customer experience.">
• Lead process improvement projects leveraging PM methodologies like Six Sigma, FPX, etc., to drive reliability and cost efficiencies for inter-regional transport moves.">
• Perform operational analytics to drive day-to-day business efficiencies and present performance metrics and project charters/updates to various levels of management.">
• Coordinate, track, and trace, as well as manage exceptions for segment inter-region transportation lanes.">
• Lead/participate in operational vendor management meetings and lead day-to-day tactical relationships with vendors.">
• Partner with distribution centers and manufacturing facilities to coordinate and manage freight on inter-regional lanes.">
• Ensure transport operations are managed within the appropriate quality framework.">
• Be the primary point of contact for sites and logistics providers to communicate issues affecting shipment flows.">
• Support global bids for various inter-region transport moves, including requirements, baseline validation, and lane implementation to pre-established metrics.">
• Provide support for event management in other geographical regions based on criticality of issues.">
• Support lane implementation for new lanes and establish lane SOP.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• ">
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree is required with a minimum of 2 years of experience.">
• Prior experience or internship in one or more of the following functions: Planning, Distribution, Manufacturing, Transportation, Logistics, Customer Service, or Supply Chain Operations.">
• Technical skills and sound judgment to effectively assess risk, triage issues for severity and imminence, and potential impact.">
• MS Office proficiency.">
• Working knowledge of analytics using Alteryx and Power BI.">
• Desirable working knowledge of project management tools, such as Microsoft Project, GNATT, RACI, Lessons learned, FMEA, etc.">
• Ability to work in a matrix environment and collaborate with different cultures.">
• Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools, training, and/or certification is desired.">
• Fluent in English; fluency in other languages is desirable.">
