We are excited to offer an internship opportunity as a Medical Technologist in our laboratory. As an intern, you will have the chance to engage in meaningful assignments that complement your education in STEM+ Business and Healthcare disciplines. You will contribute to our mission of improving health and lives globally.
Internship Assignment Summary
As a Medical Technologist intern, you will:
- Acquire clinical experience by working in the laboratory of a drug development company.
- Observe analytical testing of specimens, including embedding, sectioning, and staining, and interpret and document test results.
- Participate in quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Perform and record routine checks on staining reagents and equipment.
- Maintain lab equipment, manage laboratory supplies, and ensure good housekeeping practices.
- Participate in lab meetings and assist with maintaining a safe work environment.
- Assist with clerical tasks as needed.
- Instruction and mentorship will be provided.
- At the end of training, you will deliver a presentation to demonstrate your understanding of the training program across various departments.
Education/Qualifications/Skills
To be eligible for this internship, you must be a current undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences or Biomedical Sciences. You should have good organization and multitasking skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, and a collaborative approach in a high-performance team environment.
