About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our team at Parkway Pantai Limited. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate and reliable test results to assist physicians in diagnosing, treating, and monitoring patients' conditions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Medical Technologist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including routine sample processing, qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses, and bacteriological procedures.
  • Working in a laboratory environment with minimal direct supervision, rotating through various clinical sections and work shifts to deliver results in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Registration of patient samples, handling telephone inquiries, and printing and faxing of patient results with minimal supervision.
  • Maintaining a clean and well-organized work area, complying with all applicable safety regulations, and reviewing daily QC results.
  • Participating in CAP proficiency testing programs, hospital quality assurance programs, and on-going continuing education and professional development programs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognized Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, supervise, guide, and train subordinates.
  • A willingness to adapt and quick learning abilities, with a commitment to weekend and public holiday work when required.
