The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Parkway Pantai Limited. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate and reliable test results that assist physicians in diagnosing, treating, and monitoring patients' conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures with minimal supervision, adhering to established standards and protocols.
  • Process and analyze patient samples, including spinning and aliquoting, to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Conduct routine qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses of various samples, maintaining high levels of precision and accuracy.
  • Participate in haematology and blood bank procedures, ensuring compliance with laboratory policies and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to laboratory policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to review daily QC results, discuss any issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development programs to stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies.
  • Support flexible staffing requirements and participate in shift duties as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Recognized Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as Medical Laboratory Technology or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting is highly desirable.

  • Able to commit to weekend and public holiday shifts as required.
  • Willingness to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
  • Ability to lead, supervise, guide, and train subordinates, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident, resilient, and result-oriented, with a strong team player mentality.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and problem-solve effectively, with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
