Job Description:

Our team is seeking a skilled and experienced Paintings Conservator to join our dynamic section. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in the preservation and conservation of our extensive collection of easel paintings.\
\
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out conservation assessments, documentation, and treatments on artworks and artefacts, primarily easel paintings from our National Collection. You will work closely with our team members to manage exhibition projects, perform conservation analysis and tests, and provide supervision and training to subordinates and others as required.\

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will possess a master's degree in Conservation with a speciality in Easel Paintings from a recognized training institution. You will also have a minimum of 5 years' work experience as a full-time staff member, with a strong ability to carry out comprehensive and complex treatments with manual dexterity and aesthetic sensitivity.\
