Science Laboratory Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Science Laboratory Assistant. This position involves maintaining the cleanliness and daily upkeep of science rooms, inspecting learning resources for quality and damage, labeling, sorting, and storing resources by type and level for easier access, maintaining stock records, and conducting physical stock counts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring stock levels and spoilages twice annually, providing logistical support to teachers by packing items requested daily and for practical assessments and major learning events, and assisting science teachers and the Head of Department with any other ad hoc tasks assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Independent and confident
  • Preferably completed secondary education
  • Relevant work experience
  • Preferably 2 years of work experience in a primary school science laboratory
  • Team player who is organized, meticulous, and able to multitask
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office

Other Information

This is a contract position with a period of one year from January 2026 to December 2026, with an option to renew for one more year in 2027, subject to good performance as reviewed by the employer.
