Science Laboratory Support Position

We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Science Laboratory Support Assistant. This role will involve providing essential support to the science department in maintaining a safe and efficient laboratory environment.


Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a well-organized inventory of chemicals, equipment, and materials.
  • Preparing and setting up apparatus/materials for science experiments.
  • Ensuring the secure storage and safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
  • Liaising with external suppliers for regular maintenance of lab equipment.
  • Assisting teachers in troubleshooting equipment and preparing items/apparatus/equipment needed for science practical examinations.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of two years' experience in maintaining science laboratories.
  • At least a GCE 'O' Level Certificate with 4 passes (including English).
  • Experience working in an educational institution.

Preferred Skills

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of stores/resource management and procurement.
  • Skills and knowledge in handling science apparatus and equipment used in primary school experiments.
