Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced electrical maintenance specialist to join our team as a senior member of our electrical department. Your key responsibility will be ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our power systems.

Your primary duties include conducting routine inspections and maintenance on power system components to prevent equipment failure and ensure compliance with safety regulations, liaising with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance activities and expedite project timelines, leading a team of electricians in performing corrective and preventive maintenance tasks, developing and implementing work completion reports to ensure transparency and accountability, performing maintenance works in accordance with vessel safety requirements, and conducting in-depth troubleshooting of electrical connections and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) programs.

  • Skill Requirements:
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant field
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in marine-related or oil and gas industry
  • Candidates with no experience may apply, but must demonstrate potential for growth and development
  • Experience working with 440V Main switchboards, distribution boards, transformers, power generators, main engines, converters, inverters, batteries, fire alarm systems, and ship control monitoring and management systems
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting various brands of PLCs (Panasonic, Omron, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, ABB, etc.) is advantageous
  • Proficient in selecting and integrating sensors, pneumatic systems, stepper and servo motors, and control systems
  • Possess leadership experience in managing up to 6 men, including supervisors and technicians
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve project goals within specified timelines
  • Comfortable with report writing and presentation
  • Able to work onboard vessels and at heights
