Role Overview

As a Data Science Engineer at Micron, you'll employ mathematical and statistical techniques to uncover patterns in data, developing predictive models and actionable insights.

You'll collaborate with experienced Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and UX teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis projects and tool improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and program methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze diverse data sources.
  • Interact with stakeholders to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.
  • Develop and code software programs, algorithms, and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets.
  • Identify meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interpret and communicate insights and findings to product, service, and business managers.
Requirements

We're looking for a highly motivated individual with a Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, statistics, electronics engineering, or a related quantitative field.

Key qualifications include:

  • Strong desire to grow a career as a Data Science Engineer in highly automated industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience in statistical modeling, feature extraction, and analysis, as well as supervised, unsupervised, and semi-supervised learning.
  • Hands-on experience with Scikit-Learn, SciPy, Keras, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to extract data from various sources and apply data cleansing, outlier identification, and missing data techniques.
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL queries.
  • Fluency in Python.
  • Experience in data visualization using Tableau, Python echarts/highcharts/matplotlib, and other relevant packages.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • 6+ years of experience in data analytics/market intelligence is a plus.
  • Exposure to the semiconductor industry is a plus but not required.
