About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Health and Safety Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our global health and safety team, you'll play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, customers, and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global health and safety strategies that align with our company's mission and values.
- Lead the development and implementation of health and safety policies, procedures, and programs that meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate health and safety risks associated with our products and operations.
- Provide guidance and support to site-based health and safety teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement training programs to educate employees on health and safety best practices.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies and industry associations, to stay up-to-date on the latest health and safety trends and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as safety, industrial hygiene, or environmental science.
- At least 10 years of experience in a health and safety leadership role, preferably in a global consumer goods company.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective health and safety strategies that drive business results.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate health and safety risks.
