Job Overview

The Senior Manager, Risk Management & Data Protection plays a crucial role in aligning the strategic objectives of NTUC Health Co-operative Ltd with effective risk management practices. This position is pivotal in overseeing the Risk Management Committee meetings and providing updates to the Audit Risk Committee. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Finance, Procurement, and Risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive risk management framework for the organization.
  • Continuously assess and update internal risk policies to ensure adherence to evolving regulations.
  • Foster a culture of risk awareness among employees through training and support on risk management principles.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to effectively design and implement Risk policies, PDPA Governance, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Establish monitoring systems to keep risk levels within acceptable limits.
  • Prepare risk reports tailored to the needs of various audiences.
  • Educate the board of directors on significant risks impacting the organization; ensure departmental heads comprehend the risks affecting their areas; clarify individual responsibilities regarding specific risks.
  • Oversee the regular assessment and enhancement of business continuity plans to mitigate risks.
  • Implement health and safety protocols and ensure sufficient insurance coverage.
  • Conduct audits of policies and compliance, coordinating with both internal and external auditors.
  • Evaluate new major contracts or internal proposals to minimize organizational risk.
  • Appoint and oversee the Data Protection Officer (DPO) for NTUC Health Co-operative Ltd.
  • Fulfill the responsibilities and resource allocation for the DPO as outlined in pdpa/data-protection/business-owner/data-protection-officers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Extensive experience in risk management and governance (minimum of 10 years), including the development and implementation of operational and business risk management policies and procedures.
  • Proficient understanding of risk control frameworks and operational risk management, including policy drafting.
  • Experience in managing and monitoring PDPA activities, including training and business engagement.
  • Capability to act as DPO and establish a data governance framework within the organization.
  • Knowledge of Workplace Safety regulations.
  • Strong collaborative skills across various functional teams.
  • Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
  • Experience in managing a small team, providing coaching and guidance to achieve organizational goals and support individual career development.
  • Preferred experience in Regulatory Compliance and Compliance management.
