Refrigeration Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Specialist to join our team. As a Refrigeration Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and functionality.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service to customers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, and maintain refrigeration systems, including refrigerators and other products.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, including mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related problems.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, and fans.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
  • Conduct system tests to verify performance, temperature control, and refrigerant levels.
  • Calibrate temperature controls, thermostats, and pressure switches as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Adhere to relevant regulations, codes, and industry standards for handling refrigerants and electrical systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts inventory.
Requirements:
  • O-level qualification or equivalent.
  • Relevant certifications or vocational training preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Refrigeration Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems and components.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
