Job Role: Trade Operations Manager

The primary responsibility of a Trade Operations Manager is to oversee the entire trade operations process, ensuring that sales and purchase contracts are executed smoothly, international trade regulations are adhered to, and commercial teams and management receive timely support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and implement Sales & Purchase contracts across multiple commodities and regions.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documentation (invoicing, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, inspection certificates) in line with country and customer requirements.
  • Draft and process Letters of Credit (L/C) with banks, ensuring timely negotiation and contractual compliance.
  • Generate and analyze Management Information System (MIS) reports to support operational decisions.
  • Verify and ensure accuracy of documentation provided to banks, customers, and suppliers in compliance with international trade practices.
  • Collaborate with sales, procurement, logistics, and finance teams for smooth trade execution.
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements for efficient trade operations and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in trade operations, shipping, logistics, or commodity trading.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade documentation and Letter of Credit procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, dashboards, and MIS reporting; Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or trade management systems experience advantageous.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills for working with stakeholders across geographies.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
