Assistant Professor in Ophthalmic Biomedical Engineering

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) is a collaborative institution formed by merging the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering (SCBE) from the College of Engineering and the Division of Chemistry and Biological Chemistry (CBC) from the College of Science. Faculty members within CCEB engage in pioneering research across various domains, including chemistry, chemical engineering, food science, bioengineering, biotechnology, and related disciplines.
We are seeking exceptional candidates for a tenure-track faculty role at the Assistant Professor level, specifically focusing on research in the field of Ophthalmic Biomedical Engineering. Applicants should possess a clearly articulated research agenda and a distinguished record of publications in reputable journals. Successful candidates are anticipated to establish innovative, globally recognized, and externally funded research initiatives. Additionally, we are looking for individuals with a strong ability to teach relevant subjects at both undergraduate and graduate levels, which includes mentoring and guiding students at these levels. Participation in school and university service activities will also be expected from the successful candidates.

Qualifications
We are interested in candidates with expertise and a proven history in areas pertinent to Ophthalmic Biomedical Engineering, particularly in domains such as Ophthalmic Engineering, Ocular Biomechanics, Biomedical Imaging, or Artificial Intelligence for Eye Disease Diagnosis/Prognosis.
Compensation
The starting salary will be determined based on the candidates' qualifications, experience, and the level of appointment offered.
