Cost and Contract Professional (Quantity Survey)

Job Description:

This role is for a detail-oriented professional with experience in cost estimation, project budgeting, and contract management. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing cost estimates and budgets for shipbuilding projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.

  • Develop detailed cost breakdowns and estimate potential risks associated with shipbuilding projects.
  • Monitor and control project costs to ensure they remain within established budget and scope.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cost analysis and the ability to work collaboratively with different departments to ensure financial objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare regular cost reports and updates for senior management, providing insights into project financial health and forecasting potential overruns.
  2. Review and analyze contract terms to ensure cost control mechanisms are in place and adhered to.
  3. Track and report on change orders and variations in project scope, ensuring their impact on costs is accurately reflected.

The selected candidate will have previous background in Quantity Surveying and relevant experience within the Shipbuilding, Maritime, or Construction industry.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in Contract Management.
  • Ability to be based in Batam (Indonesia) is a must.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
