Lead PCB Designer

Seeking a skilled Lead PCB Designer to join our team

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Lead PCB Designer to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge printed circuit boards (PCBs) that meet our project requirements. As a Lead PCB Designer, you will be responsible for the entire PCB design process, from conceptualization to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex PCBs with analog and mixed-signal components using Cadence Allegro/Valor and/or PAD Power PCB software.
  • Perform logical design, including creating netlists and routing rules from customer-provided information packages and schematics.
  • Apply PCB electrical knowledge to meet project requirements, ensuring high-speed design, RF, and power integrity.
  • Design for manufacturability, collaborating with PCB suppliers to reduce cost and maximize PCB yield.
  • Verify new internal design tools and provide feedback to the development team.
  • Develop design processes to reduce design cycle-time and defects, improving product performance.
  • Create design documents and training materials.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in PCB design, or Diploma holders with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in analog and mixed-signal PCB design, with significant involvement in interfacing with PCB Fab houses to improve manufacturability.
  • Proficient in Cadence Allegro/Valor and/or PAD Power PCB software.
  • Working knowledge of logical net-listings, schematics usage, electrical and routing rules creation, signal and power integrity optimization.
  • Experience in designs utilizing blind, buried, and micro vias is advantageous.
  • Scripting skills, particularly in Skill scripts, Python, or other scripting languages, are beneficial.
  • RF, backplane, electrical package design/routing experiences, and related experience in a semiconductor testing environment or ATE industry are advantages.
  • Detailed and team-oriented individual with good communication skills.
  • Ability to consistently meet committed project deadlines.
