Job Overview
Oversee Jurong Island Operations Centre and Security TeamThe role involves overseeing the 24/7 operations of the Jurong Island Operations Centre (JIOC) and providing guidance to a team of Duty Commanders and security officers. The objective is to ensure uninterrupted checkpoint operations.
Responsibilities- Oversee initial Incident Management by Duty Commanders for safety and security-related incidents at the checkpoint and within Jurong Island.
- Respond on-site when needed to direct operations.
- Review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other security directives of JIOC to ensure clarity and alignment with threat assessments, statutory requirements.
- Develop new SOPs and directives as required.
- Ensure SOPs are validated through regular training exercises involving government agencies and Jurong Island companies.
- Ensure checkpoint security officers are trained to respond swiftly to incidents.
- Conduct regular meetings with outsourced security providers to review performance and improve processes.
- Collaborate with government agencies to develop Joint SOPs, conduct exercises, and discuss security matters.
- Investigate feedback and complaints regarding security operations.
- Good communication and report writing skills.
- Strong analytical and leadership skills for effective incident management.
- Ability to lead a team of Duty Commanders and security officers.
- Willingness and ability to do shift work as Duty Commander when needed.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in security planning and operations.
