We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Public Health Officer to join our team within the HIV-Hepatitis-STI Division.

The role involves tracking all cases of Bloodborne Diseases (BBD) and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) notified to the national disease registries, as well as performing case interviews with index cases, and doing contact tracing.

This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle highly sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately track all cases of BBD and STIs as notified to the national disease registries
  • Perform detailed contact tracing to identify and notify individuals who may have been exposed to HIV, STIs, or viral hepatitis, ensuring timely intervention and support, in accordance with local legislation and policies
  • Conduct thorough and empathetic interviews with index cases and contacts to gather comprehensive case histories and relevant data, while providing them with necessary information, support, and resources
  • Perform in-depth case investigations in response to disease outbreaks and subsequent reporting of findings to the relevant stakeholders
  • Enter highly sensitive information into the national registry with utmost accuracy and attention to detail, adhering to stringent data safety protocols to protect the confidentiality and integrity of the information

Requirements:

  • Minimum tertiary qualifications in recognised disciplines, preferably in Public Health, Health Information Management, Social Sciences, or a related field
  • Prior experience in Public Health, case management, or data entry would be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of the public health landscape in Singapore, particularly regarding HIV, STIs, and viral hepatitis, and the associated stigma and legal requirements
