Network Operations Manager

The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation and management of server system hardware and networks as well as in-house development environment software applications.
Key responsibilities include:
Configuring and maintaining software and hardware
Managing network devices and technology tools
Understanding overall system network architecture
Monitoring performance and maintaining systems according to requirements
Troubleshooting issues and outages
Ensuring security through access controls, backups and firewalls
Upgrading systems with new releases and models
Generating and maintaining technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
Requirements include:
Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (MS Windows and Red Hat preferred)
Experience and knowledge in VMware and SAN
Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems), OS hardening and data backup/recovery
Ability to create scripts in Python, PowerShell or other language
Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
