About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Portfolio Risk Manager to join our team at SMBC Group. As a key member of our credit risk management team, you will be responsible for monitoring and handling all credit-related matters for assigned portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To monitor and handle all credit-related matters for portfolio of accounts assigned including annual reviews, other adhoc reviews, waiver/amendment requests and on-going portfolio monitoring including financial accounts, covenants, collaterals etc.
  • To be fully conversant with the Bank's credit procedures to ensure obligor gradings are accurate and appropriate
  • Undertake portfolio sensitivity analysis from time to time
  • Distrill complex issues, analyse cashflows and financial models and translate to meaningful, indepth credit analysis and recommendations
  • Review loan documentation and terms sheet to ensure credit approved terms are as per documented
  • Interface with front office/marketing teams, credit department and internal/external auditors

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a finance-related field
  • Min. of 5-7 years' credit risk experience with Structured Finance, Corporate Banking or Credit Risk environment within a Bank or Financial Institution
  • Strong understanding and ability to interpret financial statements and complex financing structures
  • Good working knowledge of loan and security documentation
  • Advance skills in Excel and financial modelling
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
  • Team player and flexibility in work hours
  • Self motivated

What We Offer:
