The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic and operational objectives. This includes defending market share, exploring growth opportunities, and managing sales teams to meet or exceed business goals for profitable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide vision, leadership, and strategic direction to the sales team to achieve revenues, growth, and profit targets.
  • Manage relationships with key customers and distributors to ensure expectations are met at both senior and end-user levels.
  • Defend market share and explore growth within our portfolio to achieve significant growth and gain relevance in the market.
  • Manage all aspects of sales, marketing, and clinical performance, including tender processes, sales targets, market shaping initiatives, opportunity identification, report preparation, opportunity analysis, sales coaching, and marketing and clinical strategy execution.
  • Liaise with internal departments and associates to develop cross-functional contacts critical to business performance.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree level qualification in business, management, nursing, or science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5-8 years' experience in sales and marketing management in a similar-sized healthcare organization.
  • An excellent understanding of the healthcare industry and key issues.
  • Experience in channel and distributor management and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and communication abilities.
