Job Description

This role is responsible for overseeing the budget and resource allocation process, ensuring that our initiatives are aligned with our overall objectives.

The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for developing and reviewing funding policies to support our skills development initiatives.

Key responsibilities include evaluating budget requests from programme partners, managing budget approvals, and providing secretariat support for key committees.

Additionally, this role involves stakeholder management, knowledge management, and collaboration with internal and external teams.

Required competencies include strong analytical and critical thinking skills, effective written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in managing or reviewing funding policies is required for the Senior Manager level.

Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance, with potential for extension or permanent tenure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review funding policies to support our skills development initiatives
  • Evaluate budget requests from programme partners and manage budget approvals
  • Provide secretariat support for key committees, including the Budget and Resource Allocation Committee (BRAC) and Grants Committee (GC)
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and provide timely responses to enquiries
  • Maintain a knowledge management repository of project budget approvals
Requirements
  • At least 6 years of relevant work experience in managing or reviewing funding policies for the Senior Manager level
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
