Job Description:

As a Senior Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in the management and administration of wellbeing support services and programs for postgraduate coursework students at our institution.

The successful candidate will work closely with schools and the university counselling centre to ensure that students receive seamless and efficient support without compromising quality of care.

You will also work very closely with relevant stakeholders to enhance the wellbeing and care of all staff and students, and contribute to growing our Wellbeing Community of Practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Efficiency and Quality of Care:
    • Manage and provide administrative and operational support for various campus support and care services such as counselling services, wellbeing mobile application, and student health insurance.
    • Develop and implement procedures and processes with schools and other service providers for access to support and care services for postgraduate students.
    • Supervise and guide postgraduate student care managers in schools.
  • Promote and Enhance Health and Wellbeing:
    • In collaboration with the wellbeing development team, plan, develop, and implement initiatives such as talks, events, and promotional campaigns targeted at postgraduate students.
    • Plan, develop, produce, and distribute wellbeing resources to postgraduate students.
    • Work with schools and the wellbeing community of practice to develop and grow our wellbeing volunteer community and their support services for better support and care for postgraduate students.
  • Improve Wellbeing Competency:
    • Manage compulsory structured wellbeing training and development programmes for employees and volunteers who hold roles to support postgraduate students.
  • Monitor and Formulate Wellbeing Resources:
    • Implement feedback channels and conduct wellbeing surveys and needs analysis for postgraduate students.
    • Analyse the effectiveness and impact of these programmes in providing care and support to postgraduate students.
    • Provide regular reports and recommendations on postgraduate student wellbeing.
Requirements:
  • Minimally a bachelor's degree in any related field. Specialisation in social science such as health, social work, psychology, etc. preferred.
  • Proven ability in developing and implementing effective marketing/social media strategies and campaigns for large audiences with diverse needs.
  • At least 8 years of experience preferably in the tertiary education sector.
  • Successful experience in planning and organising events, campaigns and talks and training on mental health and wellbeing.
  • Successful administration and implementation of support services.
  • Excellent track record in developing/growing community and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent with data collection and management. Knowledge of analytic methods, approaches, tools, and implementation will be advantageous.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 and technological tools and information systems relevant in a university setting.
