We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Grooming Assistant to support our professional groomers in delivering exceptional pet care services. This role is ideal for individuals with prior experience handling pets, who are eager to grow their career in the grooming industry.

As an Animal Grooming Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting groomers with various tasks, including bathing, blow-drying, brushing, nail trimming, and preparation for full grooming. You will also be required to safely and confidently handle pets of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments, maintaining a clean and hygienic grooming environment.

  • Assist groomers with bathing, blow-drying, brushing, nail trimming, and preparation for full grooming.
  • Safely and confidently handle pets, including those that may be anxious, senior, or excitable.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic grooming environment, including disinfecting tools and equipment.
  • Provide attentive care to pets to ensure their comfort and safety throughout the grooming process.
  • Support daily salon operations such as preparing pets for appointments and post-groom clean-up.

To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions from senior groomers. Previous experience handling pets in a grooming, boarding, daycare, or similar setting is highly desirable.

  • Able to work at least 1 weekend per week.
  • No allergies to animals, their food, or supplies.
  • Previous experience handling pets (in grooming, boarding, daycare, or similar settings).
  • Confidence in working with pets of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions from senior groomers.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for animals.
  • Physically able to handle active pets and stand for extended periods.
