Financial Valuation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Valuation Specialist to join our team.

Job Description:

As a Financial Valuation Specialist, you will be responsible for performing independent valuations of complex financial instruments, businesses, and assets. You will work closely with clients to understand their valuation needs and provide expert advice on the most appropriate valuation methodologies and techniques.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing valuations of complex financial instruments, businesses, and assets using various methodologies and techniques.
  • Developing and maintaining financial models and analytical tools to support valuation analysis.
  • Providing expert advice to clients on valuation matters, including identification of key risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality valuation services to clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent academic background in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, or finance.
  • Professional qualification in accounting or a related field is an advantage.
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in valuation or a related field, preferably within a professional services firm or bank.
  • Strong expertise in building and validating pricing models, valuations control, and implementing valuation models in VBA or other programming languages.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills, combined with a good understanding of business dynamics and commercial value drivers.
