The position of Community Director oversees various programs and services, focusing on youth mental health initiatives. The role involves providing clinical and professional oversight for social work and youth mental health initiatives. The Community Director will supervise managers to ensure smooth operations of youth programs, child access services, and pivot to a youth mental health focus.
This position leads the development of new youth mental health programs targeting a broad spectrum of needs. It guides case management and counseling for low-to-moderate mental health concerns. The Community Director ensures Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and funder obligations are met for all programs.
Key responsibilities include supervising clinical standards, maintaining KIP's position in the corrections sector, building strong partnerships with agencies, and supporting research/evaluation tool implementation. The Community Director provides practice leadership and social work supervision where needed. They collaborate with leadership to grow and sustain youth mental health community services.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Master's degree in Social Work or related field.
- Strong clinical and professional record in social work or clinical work, especially in working with families, children, and youth, and/or mental health.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
