We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our CITIES OF TOMORROW (CoT) R&D project for VERTICAL 5: CITY IN NATURE. The project plays a pivotal role in ensuring a resilient urban environment against climate change and contributes to NTU strategic research in Resilient Urbanisation & Natural Ecosystems that is aligned with Singapore's national Research, Innovation and Enterprise 2025 plan.
As a Research Associate, you will assist in laboratory and field tests, acquiring videos/photographs and developing 3D models of trees, compiling test data, maintaining database and conducting analysis. You will also assist to prepare budgets, reports and papers.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Master's degree in a relevant discipline or related field, strong understanding of physics, adaptability to laboratory and field work, good written and oral communication skills for report writing, and knowledge of software like Matlab, Python, 3DF Zephyr or equivalent 3D modelling software.
- Assist in laboratory and field tests
- Acquiring videos/photographs and developing 3D models of trees
- Compile test data, maintain database and conduct analysis
- Assist to prepare budgets, reports and papers
Experience in journal publication and holding a Class 3 driving license (Singapore) would be advantageous.
