Urbanism Research Associate

We are seeking a skilled professional to contribute to an innovative research project focused on the built environment and its effects on health.

  • The successful applicant will conduct in-depth research and gather data on the impact of urban planning on public health outcomes, using various analytical techniques and tools to support the research activities.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive databases, spreadsheets, and other resources to enhance research efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist in preparing reports and papers for publication, as well as presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner, tailoring the content to different audiences and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement research projects, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, managing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining high levels of productivity and quality.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in urban planning, urban design, architecture, or public health is required, with a strong foundation in relevant theoretical concepts and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of key aspects of the built environment and their effects on health, including the social, economic, and environmental determinants of health.
  • Demonstrated skills in literature search, review, and synthesis, as well as experience in quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
