Production Operations Leader


Job Summary:

  • Lead and manage daily rubber molding operations to achieve optimal productivity and efficiency.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee work center activities to meet production targets.
  • Execute machine setups, ensuring correct mold configurations according to BOM and work instructions.
  • Monitor production KPIs, including cycle time, downtime, mold changeover efficiency, and yield.
  • Enforce quality standards through regular product checks on specifications and tolerances.
  • Perform root cause analysis of molding defects (e.g., flash, shortflow, air traps) and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with QA and engineering on first article validation and PFMEA processes.
  • Develop and improve molding and peeling processes to boost efficiency and precision.
  • Lead lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce scrap, optimize material flow, and remove bottlenecks.
  • Monitor curing parameters such as temperature, pressure, and curing time to ensure batch consistency.
  • Recommend mold design improvements and tooling upgrades to enhance cycle times.
  • Manage production routing and costing.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities by reducing scrap, rework, and cycle times.
  • Plan production orders to optimize workflows and maximize machine utilization for better productivity.
