Tool Maker Position

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in manufacturing, creating and maintaining molds for various products. As a Tool Maker, you will be responsible for assembling, troubleshooting, taking apart, and creating new plastic molds.

You will also attend mold testing and optimize the molding process for consistent quality. Additionally, you will perform mold repair, maintenance, and troubleshoot molding issues, keeping accurate records.

The ideal candidate should have a strong analytical and problem-solving ability, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, troubleshoot, take apart, and create new plastic molds.
  • Attend mold testing and optimize the molding process for consistent quality.
  • Perform mold repair, maintenance, and troubleshoot molding issues; keep records.
  • Inspect all mold components and workpieces.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and understand manufacturing processes and measurement.
  • Assemble and debug new tools to ensure timely submission.
  • Keep the work area and equipment clean.
Requirements
  • Education:
  • Diploma or NITEC in Precision Engineering or related fields.
  • Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in mold setting and tool design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience operating different types of molding machines.
