Job Title:
Special Needs Educator

Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Needs Educator to join our team on Saturdays. The successful candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality education and support.Key Responsibilities:• Classroom Management: Establish a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting student engagement and well-being.
• Behaviour Documentation and Reporting: Monitor and document student behaviour, providing regular feedback to parents and educators.
• Lesson Planning: Develop and implement individualized lesson plans, incorporating the latest research and best practices in special education.
• Team Meetings: Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, and psychologists to develop comprehensive intervention plans for students.
• Social/Emotional/Behavioural Interventions: Design and implement strategies to promote social-emotional growth, self-regulation, and positive behaviour change.
• Curriculum and Instruction: Plan, document, and report on academic progress, applying evidence-based interventions to improve student outcomes.
• Assessments and Grading: Conduct assessments, manage grading, and provide feedback to students and parents.Requirements:• Advanced diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs)
• Teaching experience in special education settings an advantage
• Knowledge of AEPS framework advantageous
