Kitchen Operations Specialist

We're seeking a highly motivated individual to assist in the day-to-day operations of our kitchen. As a Kitchen Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing food according to standard recipes, taking into account customer preferences and requests. You will also modify recipes as needed to meet customers' dietary needs, prioritize tasks to ensure timely food preparation, and maintain appealing plate presentation.

You will also be responsible for ensuring kitchen areas are clean, tidy, and organized, following proper cleaning and hygiene procedures for food preparation and storage, adhering to NEA and SFA guidelines. Additionally, you will monitor stock levels, order supplies in FIFO order, and maintain sufficient stock for daily operations. You will also ensure kitchen equipment is in good working order and report any faults or damage.

You will also be responsible for washing, stacking, sorting, and storing dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware. You will maintain a clean kitchen and keep the dish area organized and clutter-free. You will also clean and sanitize storage areas, including freezers and refrigerators, and assist with storing food deliveries.

As a key member of our kitchen team, you will work collaboratively to provide excellent customer service and ensure that all menu items are prepared to the highest standards.

1. Cook and prepare food according to standard recipes.
2. Modify recipes as needed to meet customers' dietary needs.
3. Prioritize tasks to ensure timely food preparation.
4. Maintain appealing plate presentation.
5. Ensure kitchen areas are clean, tidy, and organized.
6. Follow proper cleaning and hygiene procedures for food preparation and storage.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen operations.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• A Food Hygiene certificate is an added advantage.
